End User License Agreement
Last updated: 18 July 2026
This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) is a contract between you and ORIGOMA (“we”, “us”) for Archway, the Unreal Engine 5 plugin and related materials (together, the “Software”). By downloading Free, completing a paid checkout, or using the Software, you agree to these terms.
Short version
- One-time license: non-exclusive, non-transferable (unless we agree in writing).
- Free is for non-commercial exploration within limits; Pro and Studio allow commercial shipping under seat rules.
- Paid licenses (Pro and Studio) include 24 months of updates; after that the license remains valid but updates stop unless renewed.
- Pro: 14-day full refund via /refund.
- Studio Source is source-available for internal use — no public redistribution or public forks.
- Payments and tax invoices: Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record.
1. License grant
Subject to this EULA and payment of applicable fees (if any), we grant you a one-time, perpetual (subject to termination), non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the Software on the number of seats included in your tier, solely to develop and ship Unreal Engine projects consistent with your tier’s commercial rights.
You do not buy ownership of the Software’s copyright or trademarks. You buy a license to use it under these rules. “Archway” and related marks remain ours (or our licensors’).
2. License tiers
Limits below match the pricing page. If a number changes on the site at purchase time, the purchase-time page controls for that order.
Free (Explorer)
- Non-commercial use only (learning, prototypes, evaluation). Shipping a commercial product requires Pro or Studio.
- Up to 500 provinces, 5 territories, and 2 map modes (or the Free limits shown at download time).
- No paid seats; technical and commercial features may be gated vs Pro.
Pro
- Commercial use allowed (ship games and paid projects).
- Unlimited provinces, territories, and map modes within the product design.
- 1 seat included (solo / small team starting point). Seat add-ons may be offered separately.
- Shader materials / shader source access as described on the product page — not full C++ source (see Studio Source).
- 24 months of updates included from purchase.
- 14-day refund window for Pro — see section 5 and /refund.
Studio Team
- Everything in Pro, with 5 seats included.
- Email support as advertised for Studio at purchase time.
- Credit rules (e.g. Pro purchase credited toward Studio within a stated window) are commercial offers on the pricing page; they do not change the seat or source rules unless we confirm in writing.
Studio Source
- Source-available C++ for internal use by your organization to integrate, debug, and ship your own Unreal projects.
- No redistribution of our source code, binaries we designate as restricted, or derivative source trees to third parties outside your licensed seats — including public GitHub/GitLab forks, marketplaces, or “shared studio dumps.”
- You may not publish our source as open source or dual-license it. Games and content you create with Archway remain yours; our plugin source does not become yours to resell.
3. Seats
A seat means one concurrent developer machine (one primary workstation used by a person to edit projects with the Software installed for development). Build machines / CI may be allowed as a reasonable extension of your seats if they do not effectively multiply interactive developer use beyond your license — do not treat “CI” as unlimited floating seats for your whole company.
Extra seats or add-ons, if purchased, increase the seat count under the same EULA. Licenses are not transferable between organizations without our written consent (e.g. you cannot resell a used Pro license on a forum).
4. Updates window
Paid Pro and Studio licenses include access to Software updates and roadmap modules we designate as included for 24 months from the purchase date (or the window stated at checkout if different).
After that window: your license to use the last version you are entitled to remains valid under this EULA, but you are not entitled to further updates unless you purchase a renewal, new term, or upgrade we offer. Free tier updates are provided at our discretion.
5. Refunds
- Pro: full refund within 14 days of purchase, via the self-serve form at https://archway.origoma.com/refund (or as otherwise published). Free has no charge. Studio plans: contact contact@origoma.com — not the Pro self-serve path unless we say otherwise.
- After a valid refund, your paid rights end; the product may return you to Free limits after the next successful online license check.
- After 14 days, refunds are discretionary goodwill only — email support. Payment settlement timing depends on Lemon Squeezy and your bank.
6. Source-available terms (Studio Source)
If your tier includes C++ source or other restricted source materials:
- Use is limited to licensed seats inside your organization.
- Do not redistribute, sublicense, publish, or sell the source (or substantial portions of it).
- Do not create public forks or public mirrors of our repositories or drop our source into public samples.
- Confidentiality: treat source as confidential proprietary material unless we publish it under a different license in writing.
7. General restrictions
Except as allowed by your tier or mandatory law, you may not:
- Circumvent license checks, seat limits, Free-tier caps, or online status.
- Share license files or seats beyond your purchased count.
- Reverse engineer solely to bypass licensing (interop exceptions under law still apply).
- Remove proprietary notices from the Software.
- Use Free tier for commercial shipping in violation of section 2.
8. Merchant of record (Lemon Squeezy)
Paid checkouts are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. They handle payment processing, applicable sales tax / VAT collection and remittance, and customer invoices for the purchase. Your payment relationship for billing and tax documents is with Lemon Squeezy under their buyer terms; this EULA still governs your license to use the Software from ORIGOMA.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every Unreal Engine version, platform, or project setup. You are responsible for testing in your pipeline before shipping.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ORIGOMA and its suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, data, or business opportunity, arising from the Software or this EULA.
Our total aggregate liability for claims arising out of this EULA or the Software is capped at the amount you paid us (or via Lemon Squeezy) for the license giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months before the claim (or €0 for Free). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the minimum allowed by law.
11. Termination
This EULA is effective until terminated. Your rights end automatically if you materially breach these terms (including seat abuse, Free commercial misuse, or source redistribution). We may revoke a license after a valid refund or for material breach. On termination you must stop using the Software under the terminated rights and destroy copies of restricted source you are no longer licensed to hold. Sections that by nature should survive (ownership, disclaimer, liability, source confidentiality, governing law) survive termination.
12. Governing law
This EULA is governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts of competent jurisdiction in France shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
13. Changes
We may update this EULA for new tiers, seats, or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date will change. For existing paid licenses, material adverse changes will not apply retroactively to strip rights already purchased unless required by law or you agree (e.g. by buying an upgrade under new terms). Continued download of Free after a change may be under the new Free terms.
